Curator Abby Chen will lead us through the newly energized galleries at the Chinese Culture Center. The CCC sponsors innovative contemporary exhibitions such as their current exhibition, Retrieved, a narrative of China in the last century. After our visit we will have dinner at Z&Y Restaurant nearby. Please note this is a 6-course, set meal; no substitutions will be possible.

Abby Chen is the Curator and Artistic Director of the CCC. She has an MA in Visual and Critical Studies from the California College of the Arts. She lectures frequently on contemporary Chinese art and has curated many exhibitions and programs relating to contemporary art and issues relevant to the Chinese-American community. She has written for numerous publications and catalogs, andwasa 2012 NationalEndowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar.

Registration Policies

The Society for Asian Art's cancellation policy requires at least one week's advance written notice in order to receive a refund of registration fees. This excludes our Travel programs, which have separate cancellation policies, as well as any programs where a specific refund policy is stated on the event page. Your fees will be returned to you through a check in the mail. To cancel, please contact us.

For programs located within the Asian Art Museum, the museum entrance fee must be paid separately and is not included with your registration fee.

Please note that by registering for a program, you are giving consent to the SAA to be photographed or videoed as a participant.
