Stephen Little is a scholar of Asian art with interests that include East Asian painting, calligraphy, ceramics, and the classical arts of Southeast Asia. He has served as curator at the Asian Art Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Art Institute of Chicago, and was Director of the Honolulu Museum of Art before moving to Los Angeles in 2011. At LACMA, he has organized numerous exhibitions and installations, including Chinese Paintings from Japanese Collections (2014); Ming Masterpieces from the Shanghai Museum (2013); and reinstallation of the museum's permanent galleries for Korean and Chinese art.

This Conversation precedes Dr. Little's Arts of Asia lecture on Daoism and the Arts of China.  

Registration Policies

The Society for Asian Art's cancellation policy requires at least one week's advance written notice in order to receive a refund of registration fees. This excludes our Travel programs, which have separate cancellation policies, as well as any programs where a specific refund policy is stated on the event page. Your fees will be returned to you through a check in the mail. To cancel, please contact us.

For programs located within the Asian Art Museum, the museum entrance fee must be paid separately and is not included with your registration fee.

Please note that by registering for a program, you are giving consent to the SAA to be photographed or videoed as a participant.
