December 9, 2022 Arts of Asia Lecture Change of Speaker & Topic and Bonus Lecture on January 20, 2023

Due to scheduling issues, the December 9 lecture will be given by Dr. Walter Denny, Professor of History of Art and Architecture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, who will speak on Hatayi: The "Chinese Style" at the Sixteenth-Century Ottoman Court under Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and His Successors. This lecture will be given on Zoom only.

Martina Rugiadi, Associate Curator of Islamic Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who was scheduled to speak on December 9 via Zoom, has been rescheduled to give a lecture on January 20, 2023 on Arts in Afghanistan from the Arrival of Islam to the Ghaznavids. The addition of a 15th lecture will be a bonus for those registered for the Fall 2022 Arts of Asia lecture series.
